North Down District AGM

The annual District AGM will be held in the Crawfordsburn Cub Scout Chalet in the Crawfordsburn Scout Centre on Tuesday 11th May at 7pm.

Full uniform should be worn.

County Flag Competition

Commiserations to the two teams from 7th Bangor who took part in last weekend’s County Flag competition.

You tried hard, put on a good show and as you were the only troop from North Down to participate, were good ambassadors for the District. Unfortunately you were a few points short of the prize but don’t worry – you’ve learnt plenty to try again next year.

Scouts invite to Cubs

The Scout section have invited all Cubs moving up to Scouts next year, to join them at 7.30 this evening to attend an outdoor Scout investiture and take part in some backwoods cookery.

Cubs are free to go straight to Scouts at 7.30pm or to come to Cubs first at 6.45pm and then go on to Scouts.

Scouts return to the halls at 9.30pm so it will be a later pick up time for those who want to take part.

County Flag Competition

The County Flag competition will run from Friday 30th April – Sunday 2nd May at Crawfordsburn Scout Centre.

Best of luck to the two teams from 7th Bangor!

New Scout Group Website up and running

The new 7th Bangor Scout Group website is now permanent at www.7thbangorscouts.org.uk.
The software we were using for the older version of the site was a bit too difficult for users to get their head around. We have now taken all of the information off the old site and restored the relevant bits onto the new one.
We will be looking for volunteers from each section to update news, amend calendar entries and add photographs. Initially only section leaders will have access but authority can be delegated to others (Explorers, Scouts or leaders) who may have more time to keep the site up to date.

Launch of our new website

Our New Website

This is the first time we have attempted to run a Website for our Scout Group and it is thanks to the kind sponsorship of catalyst2 that we have been to able to set it up.

It is hoped that this will be a really useful tool to keep everyone informed about our Group and give our members the opportunity, no only to see what is going on but, to input information into the site themselves.

As time goes on we hope to add more and more information to make this a good point of contact for all members and their families.
