Squirrels

Welcome to the Squirrel page which will help to tell you what we are all about and encourage you to come and join us.

Squirrels enjoy making friends, playing games, singing, making things, listening to stories, and miming, being creative and learning about themselves.

Squirrels are members of the Squirrel Association which from January 2009 is affiliated to the Northern Ireland Scout Council.
They are young people aged 4 – 6years, who when they meet collectively are known as a Squirrel Drey. Young people can join Squirrels on their fourth birthday and then can move to the next Section, Beaver Scouts, when they are six.

The Squirrel uniform consists of a navy crewneck sweatshirt and a group scarf.

If you would like your children to take part in the fun of Scouting as a Squirrel, or if you would like to help out as an adult Leader or helper, please feel free to contact the local team at West Church, every Friday at 6.15pm (September – May).
